Jillian Noel Hennessy
Jillian Noel Hennessy, born November 25 in 1968 is a Canadian actress from Canada. She is best known for her character on Law & Order as Claire Kincaid, a US prosecutor, in the television show Law & Order for three seasons. Crossing Jordan was six seasons. Jordan Cavanaugh, the protagonist on Crossing Jordan, lasted six seasons. She has also appeared on films like RoboCop 3 (most wanted) and Crossing Jordan (which she directed and wrote). Hennessy was a native of Edmonton, Alberta. John Hennessy was her father. He was a meat marketer and an executive in sales and marketing. This position required many trips and led to frequent family moves. Maxine, her mother, was secretary. Her daughter was left behind by Eleanor, her paternal grandmother from Kitchener, Ontario. John Paul Hennessy Jr. is her younger brother. Jacqueline is her identical twin sister. She is a writer for a Canadian magazine and host. Hennessy is of Irish, French, Swedish and Italian heritage on her father's side, and mainly Ukrainian Roma, as well as Austrian, ancestry on her mother's side. After finishing her studies at Grand River Collegiate Institute (both in Kitchener) She went to Stanley Park Senior Public School. She also worked on the Toronto subway. Hennessy as well as her sister were the first actors to be cast as twin call girl in 1988's Dead Ringers. Gillian Anderson, Gillian Anderson's actress, has revealed that she was shortlisted for Dana Scully, The X-Files role. She was also in the Dead Ringers series in 1988 as twin call girls. Dick Wolf signed Hennessy in 1993 to play Claire Kincaid, an assistant district attorney, on the NBC crime drama Law & Order. She played the role for three seasons before leaving the show in 1996.
