Rosamund Pike
Born in London, England in 1979, Rosamund Mary Elizabeth Pike was the only child of Caroline (Friend) (Friend), the classical violinist's mother as well as Julian Pike, an opera singer dad. Due to their work, she spent in her early years traveling throughout Europe. Pike attended Badminton School in Bristol, England and was a part of the National Youth Theatre. Pike first appeared in a National Youth Theatre production "Romeo and Juliet". She was then signed by an agent when she was noticed. Pike also began acting at the National Youth Theatre. While her debut film was a huge-budget action film, her film work was mainly in smaller independent films , such as Promised Land (2004) and The Libertine (2004). She was awarded the Best Supporting Actress Award at The British Independent Film Awards for the film. Pride & Prejudice (2005) was her first feature film.
